Paycrypt Privacy Policy

Introduction: Paycrypt ("we," "us," or "our") is a crypto payment gateway. We value your privacy and strive to protect your personal and business information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It applies to all Paycrypt users (merchants and their customers) worldwide in compliance with Indian law and good international practices.

Information We Collect

We collect various categories of information to provide and improve our services. This includes:

  • Business Information: Details about your business (e.g. merchant/business name, business type, address, and contact information) when you register or interact with Paycrypt.
  • Transaction Data: Information about crypto payments you process (e.g. transaction volume, transaction dates, wallet addresses, crypto asset types, and transaction status) to facilitate and audit payments.
  • Technical Data: Technical identifiers collected automatically, such as IP address, browser type/version, operating system, device information, and web request logs. This helps us maintain and secure our systems.
  • Usage Data: Behavioral data on how you use our site and platform (e.g. pages viewed, button clicks, features used, and session duration). We use this for analytics and to improve user experience.

Note: We explicitly do not collect or store your personal login passwords or private wallet keys. We require authentication, but passwords are never transmitted to or retained by Paycrypt servers.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for legitimate business purposes, including:

  • Service Delivery: To set up and operate your merchant account, process payments, verify transactions, and communicate with you about your account.
  • Performance Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve our website and platform features. For example, usage and transaction data are analyzed in aggregate to enhance service reliability and usability.
  • Security and Fraud Prevention: To protect against, detect, and prevent unauthorized or fraudulent activities. Technical data (like IP and device info) helps us recognize unusual behavior and secure your account.
  • Communications: To send service notices, security alerts, or support messages (by email or in-app notifications) regarding your account and our services. We never use your contact data to send unsolicited marketing without your consent.
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with laws and regulations (e.g. financial reporting, anti-money laundering/KYC obligations) and respond to lawful requests from government or law enforcement.

All uses of your information are carried out in accordance with applicable laws. We do not use your data in a way that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Paycrypt uses cookies and similar technologies (like web beacons or pixels) on our website and app to improve your experience and for analytics. For example:

  • Session Management: We use cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences during your visit.
  • Analytics: Cookies and similar tools (e.g. Google Analytics, or equivalent) collect information about site usage (pages visited, time spent, actions taken) to help us understand and improve how users interact with Paycrypt.
  • Essential Services: Some cookies are necessary for core functionality (e.g. maintaining a secure session). Disabling these may prevent the site from working properly.

Most web browsers allow you to control or delete cookies via browser settings. For instance, you can typically block all cookies or request a warning before a cookie is stored. If you disable cookies, note that some features of Paycrypt may not function correctly. You can find instructions for managing cookies in your browser's help section or settings interface.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We respect the confidentiality of your data. Paycrypt does not sell or rent personal data to third parties. We share information only in limited cases:

  • Service Providers: We may disclose your information to trusted third-party service providers who perform services for us, under strict confidentiality and contractual obligations. These can include cloud infrastructure and management services (for example, OpenStack, Prometheus) and payment processing providers. These partners are authorized to use your data only as needed to perform services on our behalf.
  • Infrastructure Partners: We use third-party blockchain networks and infrastructure (e.g. the Solana network and other blockchain APIs). Information sent to these networks is necessary to process crypto transactions. While these networks process the data according to their own protocols, they do not receive personal data beyond what is required for transaction settlement.
  • Legal and Safety Obligations: We may disclose your information when required by law (such as a subpoena or regulatory request), to protect the rights or safety of Paycrypt, our users, or others, or to enforce our terms of service.

We will never sell or lease your personal information to any third party. As noted by industry best practices, major tech companies similarly emphasize that they do not sell user data. Paycrypt shares data only in the limited ways described above and always under confidentiality.

Data Security

Protecting your data is a priority for us. We use industry-standard security measures, including:

  • Encryption: All data transmitted between your browser/device and Paycrypt servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS (HTTPS) to prevent eavesdropping. Stored data (such as transaction records) is also encrypted at rest wherever feasible.
  • API Authentication: Our application programming interfaces (APIs) require secure authentication tokens or keys to prevent unauthorized access. Each system component verifies identity before allowing data access.
  • Access Controls: We enforce strict access controls internally. Employees and third parties only receive the minimal data necessary to perform their job. Regular audits and monitoring are conducted to detect and prevent unauthorized access.

Despite these precautions, no Internet transmission or storage system is 100% secure. As one legal authority notes, it is "possible…for someone to intercept the transfer of information…as no Internet transmission is fully secure". We continually review and update our security practices, but we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to protect your account (e.g. by using strong passwords on your own accounts and devices).

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data only as long as needed for the purposes described above. This generally means:

  • Business and transaction records are kept to operate your account, complete transactions, and comply with financial and legal obligations (e.g. accounting, tax, and regulatory reporting).
  • Technical and usage data may be retained in log archives for a reasonable period to troubleshoot issues, analyze system performance, or detect fraud.
  • Data Minimization: In line with India's data protection framework, we follow data minimization principles. We erase or anonymize personal data once the purpose of collection has been served, unless retention is required by law.

If you wish to delete your personal data or close your account, please contact us at info@paycrypt.tech. We will respond to legitimate requests to erase your data in accordance with applicable law, subject to any legal retention obligations. Any requests to delete merchant business information, transaction logs, or usage data will be processed promptly.

Third-Party Services and Links

Paycrypt may provide links to external websites or integrate third-party tools (such as blockchain explorers or analytics platforms). These third-party services are not governed by this Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external websites or blockchain platforms. For example, transactions on the Solana blockchain are subject to Solana's protocols, and we recommend reviewing their privacy terms. You should exercise caution and review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use in connection with Paycrypt.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes relating to privacy or data will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Indian courts. Paycrypt adheres to Indian statutes such as the Information Technology Act, 2000 (and its rules) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. However, we apply these privacy commitments globally: all users can expect the same protections and user rights regardless of location.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time (for example, to reflect changes in technology, law, or our operations). When we make changes, we will post the revised policy on our website with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review the policy periodically. Your continued use of Paycrypt after a policy update signifies your acceptance of the changes.
